Greater Evansville

Evansville is not what it used to be - it's better. In the last 5 to 10 years, the Evansville region has undergone extensive growth and revitalization and it's been driven by people just like you. People that wanted more to do on the weekends, people that wanted their cultures represented, and people that had big dreams and big ideas. The Evansville you once knew has been reimagined.

Downtown Evansville

Downtown Evansville is continuously being redeveloped to offer spaces and amenities desired by millennials and young families. Main Street is once again a bustling hub for business and leisure. Historic buildings are occupied with modern restaurants and residential spaces. The streets are filled with sports fans and concert-goers. And on any given weekend you can find a festival, a block party, or a corner bar that's calling your name.

Haynie's Corner

The collaborative effort between business owners and residents has made Haynie's Corner one of the most exciting and eclectic districts in Evansville. Four neighborhoods have converged to create a pocket of entertainment, complete with shopping, dining, and drinks. From Funk in the City to First Fridays, there's always something happening in Haynie's Corner.

West Franklin Street

On Franklin Street, you can find everything from exciting nightlife to family-friendly fun. Take in the west side's rich heritage while enjoying revitalized events and entertainment. Friday night pub crawls to Saturday bazaars, you can find it all on Franklin.

Cultural Events and Festivals

Festivals, sporting events, concerts, and more are putting Evansville on the map as a top events destination. The best part? Many of our culturally rich events were started by people that wanted to make a difference in their community. We host some of the top Latino festivals, music festivals, and summer events in our area.

Amenities

Business and leisure amenities are booming in the Evansville Region. Most recently, the airport completed a $20 million dollar renovation project to enhance travelers' experience. Venues like the Ford Center and Tropicana's 45,000 sq. ft. casino bring revitalized opportunities for entertainment downtown. Plus, new accomodations like the DoubleTree and the in-progress Hyatt Place create more space for visitors.

Greenspace

We're growing green! As our community changes, we've found new ways to incorporate outdoor attractions. Last years, volunteers built Mickey's Kingdom, a 21,000 sq. ft. playground for children of all abilities along the Ohio Riverfront. Our neighbors to the west in Mt. Vernon have a renovated riverfront that's perfect for community events. To the east, Newburgh's Friedman Park is 180-acres of southern Indiana charm. Plus, new trails are popping up all over the Evansville region, like the 37-mile USI-Burdette trail on Evansville's west side.
