Ways To Celebrate The Holiday Season in the Evansville Region

Time to put away your resting grinch face and embrace the holiday spirit! There are a number of fun shows, shopping experiences, and Santa photo ops throughout the area and if you miss out, yule be sorry. 

Photos With Santa At Eastland Mall

The magic of the holiday season comes alive with a visit to Santa’s winter wonderland. Santa will be at Eastland Mall starting November 18th and is located in front of JCPenney. A visit with Santa is always free and photo packages are available for purchase. Schedule your time online to reduce your wait time.

Ritzy’s Fantasy of Lights

Drive through or take a carriage ride and enjoy a magical mile of over 70 light displays and animated scenes in Garvin Park. This exciting holiday tradition begins on November 24th and benefits Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center. Last year, more than $200,000 was raised for local people with disabilities. 

Small Business Saturday

Did you know that 67¢ of every dollar spent at local shops and restaurants remains in our neighborhood? Support your neighbors on November 26th during Small Business Saturday at local businesses across the region. 

Cirque Dreams Holidaze 

This annual tradition wraps a Broadway-style production around an infusion of contemporary circus arts. See it at the Aiken Theater inside the Old National Events Plaza on December 1st.

Newburgh Winterlights

Experience the wonder of thousands of lights along the Rivertown Trail from the Aurand Trailhead, across the red bridge, through the woods, and out onto the overlook December 1-4 and 8-11.

A Charlie Brown Christmas: Live On Stage

Enjoy a holiday celebration with the whole family as Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, and the rest of the Peanuts gang uncover the true meaning of Christmas live on stage! The show takes place December 2nd at the Old National Events Plaza

Christmas in New Harmony

The weekend kicks off on December 2nd with a classic tree lighting and includes parades, vendors, food, music, children’s activities, Santa visits, a Gnome Scavenger hunt, horse and carriage rides, unique shopping and a house tour! 

Mount NOCO Winter Experience 

Check out the ski lodge themed exhibit and dining immersive winter experience venue ideal for friends, families, couples or work parties to get together in a fun holiday environment. It kicks off December 2nd at NOCO Park.

Christmas in Boonville

It will be a fun-filled weekend with ice skating, a scavenger hunt, letters to Santa, caroling, extended shopping, free pony rides, and more. Things kick off December 2nd with the parade happening December 3rd.

A Downtown Christmas 

Celebrate the season on Main Street in Downtown Evansville on December 3rd! Enjoy holiday music, free photos with Santa, holiday craft stations for kids, and a Santa letter writing station.

Newburgh Celebrates Christmas

This fun holiday tradition includes a vendor mart around Preservation Hall, Santa and the Gingerbread House Contest in Studio Eden, and food trucks and live entertainment around downtown. Don’t miss it on December 3rd.

The Nutcracker Ballet

Ballet Indiana presents The Nutcracker with the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra on December 10th and 11th at the Victory Theatre.

Straight No Chaser
