Rich in business and heart
Princeton is the largest city in Gibson County, located about 25 miles north of Evansville. It's one of the richest places for industry in southwest Indiana. Major automaker Toyota Motor Company opened a manufacturing plant in 1998 that is now the sole North American producer of the Toyota Highlander Hybrid. Gibson County is also the largest coal-producer in Indiana. Small businesses thrive here, many finding a home in the downtown business district on the square, anchored by the stately Gibson Co. Courthouse. From summer festivals and fairs to wildlife trails and arboretums, there's a lot to explore in the heart of southwest Indiana.
