Part 1: Thursday, January 17 at 7:00PM. VIP seating at Mr. Twitty’s lecture, EVPL Central, Browning Rooms A&B Part 2: Saturday, January 19 at 4:00 PM Culinary Tour. Arrive a few minutes before 4:00 PM to hop on board TED: Trolley of Evansville Districts to start the tour. We'll discuss Chef Twitty's lecture over appetizers at ARAZU ON MAIN, Chef Michael's recipe for Ghula-Ghee Beef Stew and Bread at THE DAPPER PIG, BBQ and Mac & Cheese at GATRICK'S Bar-B-Que & Fine Dishes. Apple Crisp for dessert by BE HAPPY PIE COMPANY and fresh coffee at WHITE SWAN COFFEE LAB. People who sign up for the food tour will get a FREE copy of Michael Twitty’s award winning book, THE COOKING GENE. TED the Trolley will pick us up at White Swan Coffee Lab a few minutes before 4:00 PM and drive us to the restaurants. We will end up back at White Swan for coffee and dessert. This 2 part event is co-hosted by Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library and Evansville Culinary Tours.
